I make information engaging and fun for kid audiences on learning apps, video, audio, interactive devices, and editorial content.
I build worlds and develop characters — yours or new ones — to help you grow your brand into new spaces. Show treatments, pitch decks, bibles, and pilot scripts.
I connect with kids by striking the right tone in marketing copy, brand collateral, brand extensions, promos and commercials, product packaging, and POP.
I’ve written boatloads of funny stuff for kids of all ages across all platforms, including narrative stories, songs, sketch comedy, jokes, interactive conversation design, and illustrated humor pieces for digital and print.
I write video and audio scripts for kids at all developmental stages, from pre-school to teens, on any topic, for any medium.
If you’re new to the kid space or if what you’re doing isn’t bringing the results you want, let's talk.
"Susan is the funniest writer I have ever worked with."
Jo Daris, Chief Creative Officer/Partner Toon2Tango

Rachel Abeshouse, Creative Producer, Nick Digital
"Thank you for all your amazing stories this season!"
Caroline Bandolik, Supervising Producer, Carl the Collector
I was the class clown, so I’ve been honing the art of making kids pay attention to me since I was 7 years old.
Straight out of (Emerson) college I was hired as a staff writer on the now-legendary PBS kids game show “Where In the World is Carmen Sandiego?”, where, among other things, I wrote lyrics for over 30 songs sung by the now-legendary band Rockapella.
None of us had any idea that any of it would become legendary.
Today, I’m more dedicated than ever to creating high quality content that makes kids laugh and learn but also makes them feel good about themselves.
Formerly of Boston, Seattle, New York and Los Angeles, I live in New York City (again) with my husband, who is a jazz recording artist and composer who joins me in making up ridiculous songs around the house all day.
